Through a formal study and investigation, a chosen simple form allowed for a significant amount of variation and complexity. When this form is aggregated in groups of four, the plans produced are specific and derivative shapes that can be paired with different programs. Through research of the institution, 4 programs were derived: research, residential, office space, and exhibition. The groups of four forms can be stacked vertically, into a configuration that challenges the general organizational notions of a tower. The program is not stacked like in a standard tower, but blended together in order to form different kind of building. It becomes an institution that breaks down the barriers of its various constituents, and seeks to blend its people, visually, culturally, and organizationally.
